Y los ganadores del GLOBO DE ORO son…

La 72da. Ceremonia Anual de los Premios Globo de Oro otorgados por la Asociación de Corresponsales Extranjeros de Hollywood se llevó a cabo en el Beverly Hilton Hotel de Los Angeles el domingo 11 de enero de 2015. La gran sorpresa de la noche llegó cuando Gina Rodríguez logró la estatuilla como “Mejor Actriz de Comedia” por su papel de Jane Villanueva en la serie “Jane The Virgin”, la adaptación de una telenovela venezolana. La actriz visiblemente emocionada hizo saber en su discurso que que ese premio reconocía el mérito de su trabajo sino a toda una cultura.

Por su parte, el director mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu y su equipo de escritores lograron el galardón por Mejor Guión con su película “Birdman”, que estaba nominada en 7 categorías. Michael Keaton ganó como Mejor Actor de comedia, lo que sumó dos Globos de Oro para “Birdman”.

La película que lideró la noche fue “Boyhood”, triunfando como “Mejor Película” y “Mejor Director” para Richard Linklater por su realización sin precedentes, que tardó 12 años en completarse. “Boyhood” logró un total de tres preseas con Patricia Aruqette ganadora en la categoría de “Mejor Actriz de Reparto”. George Clooney recibió el premio honorario Cecil B. DeMille por sus contribuciones humanitarias. Kevin Spacey, ganador como mejor actor de TV por la serie de Netflix “House of Cards” hizo el discurso más conmovedor de la noche y la actriz Joann Froggatt, ganadora como mejor actriz de reparto en una serie de TV por “Downton Abbey” levantó la voz por las mujeres que han sido violadas.

Los ganadores por “Mejor Canción” por “Selma”, recordaron que las tensiones raciales siguen siendo parte de EE.UU. Common se refirió al mismo tiempo a Ferguson y al asesinato de dos policías en Brooklyn, N.Y., a finales al año pasado y John Legend nos recordó que “Selma es hoy”.
